Illegal immigrants broke the law to be in this country. They should be deported. They should not be receiving anything from our government.
And there is to be a reform on the law so anchor child cannot automatically be granted citizenship. Only child born to legal immigrants should be granted citizenship.
Of course, it would be nice if our society could give to every person that needs help. But the government cannot create wealth simply by writing checks. There must be a limit to public benefits.
Free medical care, welfare, and subsidizedpublic housing should be reserved for American citizens. If illegal immigrants are receiving these services, they are draining the country’s resources.
There are deserving American families that could use these services. Many illegal immigrants don’t pay taxes, and they shouldn’t be able to take when they don’t give.
Many of the seven billion people in the world would jump at the chance to make it over our borders illegally – or overstay a temporary visa – to set up a permanent home for their families here.
Pandering politicians and the parental abuse perpetrated by foreign parents who recognized they could make more money if they lived in the United States caused this crisis of “to enforce the law or not enforce the law” – the American dream of Americans to preserve and protect a constitutional republic be damned.
Trump is the first president in decades with the political courage to take a needed stand on our illegal immigration problem.
Keep in mind this most important fact: Even if the president gets everything he wants in this framework, it may not last.
As soon as control of Congress changes, lawmakers can revive the diversity visa lottery program, reinstate extended chain migration, and impose new rules on Homeland Security that restrict its ability to detain and remove illegal aliens.
